Westpac Warm Up.

Helping Kiwis make their homes healthier and energy-efficient.

2020 has so far seen most of us spending more time at home than expected, which makes having a warm, dry place to live even more important. We’re helping our customers make improvements to their homes that we know are important to them. A healthy and energy-efficient home isn’t just good for the environment - it’s good for you and your family.

With Westpac Warm Up, existing or new home loan customers can borrow up to $10,000 interest free to help make homes warmer and drier. The Westpac Warm Up loan funds the installation of insulation, heat pumps, double glazing, ventilation or a solar panel system.

As at 30 September 2020, we have received 2,531 applications and had over $14.45 million drawn down.

Westpac Warm up Family

Simon Ellis of Southland applied for the Westpac Warm Up loan just before winter kicked in. "It was a quick and easy process to secure the loan. We applied to use $5,000 of the $10,000 available to install ceiling and floor insulation, as well as a ground barrier for our home."

"Since we installed the insulation our home has been much warmer in the mornings and evenings. Our family now comes home and lights the fire but as a result of the insulation we're using less firewood because the house retains more heat and our electricity bill is lower too."
